Same trip as the last post, although in this part of the mountains it looks like winter isn't yielding to spring yet. We are on the road to Mount Evans but the road is closed at Echo Lake Lodge. The snow is too deep to keep the road open in the winter.

The snow is melting in the high country in this painting from over Squaw Pass in Colorado. My last visit to the mountains outside Denver with my favorite brother-in-law.

This painting is titled Deer Lake River 16x12 oil on canvas. This is an area in Forest Park, Saint Louis that is a natural area with wonderful streams running through boulders. Its very peaceful and on a warm day you can sit for hours and paint or just contemplate nature.
